Restaurant & coffee shop branding

Restaurant branding by people who run one.

A restaurant brand lives in the menu, the sign, the cup, the playlist and the way the door is answered. LOBBY Studio designs restaurant and coffee shop brands from concept to opening day. We also operate Frank's Market, our own coffee shop and general store in Brittany, so nothing we recommend is theory.

Our point of view

Restaurants fail on concept more often than on food. A clear idea of who the place is for, what it stands for and what it refuses to be is worth more than any logo. We build that idea first, then give it a name, a face and every object a guest will touch.

A restaurant opens in months, not years, and margins are thin.

Speed matters more here than in hotels. A restaurant opens in months, not years, and margins are thin. So we design brands that can be produced, printed and installed by a small team on a real budget.

Who this is for

  • Chefs & founders

Chefs and founders opening a first or second place.

  • Coffee shops & bakeries

Coffee shop and bakery owners who want to grow beyond one address.

  • Hotel groups & operators

Hotel groups and operators building an F&B concept that has to stand on its own.

What we solve

  1. “We have a menu and a lease, not a concept.”

A positioning and a story that make the place legible before the first plate arrives.

  2. “Our brand does not travel.”

An identity system built to work on a cup, a storefront, Instagram and a second location.

Questions

Do you work with coffee shops and bakeries, not just restaurants?

Yes. Coffee shops, bakeries, bars, food halls and hotel F&B. We run a coffee shop ourselves.

Can you help with the menu itself?

We design the menu as an object and a system: structure, naming, layout, print. We do not write recipes, but we work closely with the chef on how dishes are named and presented.

How fast can a restaurant brand be ready?

A launch kit can be ready in 6 to 8 weeks. A full concept and identity program takes 10 to 14 weeks.

What does it cost?
